Description

Join us for the recurring community service project and outreach promting the efforts of the Zero Waste Task Force fighting the opposition of any new incinerators in Broward County for the next 40 year plan, starting September 12, 2024, and running until November 30, 2024, at the various city and town halls. This initiative aims to engage community members to increase the outreach of the threat of possible new incinerators being built and included in the current Broward Solid Waste Authorities master plan being created now. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak during public comment at each of the city / town meetings to bring awareness of this possible threat to our communities. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on our environment, health, and foster community spirit. We need the Broward Solid Waste Authority and County Commissioners to hear from as many residents throughout Broward County, that no new incineration should be included in the Solid Waste Master Plan for the next 40 years. Join us in this vital endeavor to create a more sustainable future!
